Welcome to Beis Chinuch Harav Dessler, The Hebrew Academy of Cleveland!

Eighty years of excellence in education enables us at the Academy to pause and reflect upon past achievements and future aspirations.

Our founders, the spiritual giants who survived the atrocities of the Holocaust, and the devoted lay leaders who were their partners, were visionaries who planted the seeds of an incredible future.  The Academy’s rich history and proud legacy are reflected in the unique ruach, spirit, which reverberates throughout our vibrant school.

Today, the Academy educates and inspires well over 1450 children, many of whom are second,third, or fourth generation Academy students.  Scores of families have relocated to Cleveland to benefit from the Academy experience.

The Academy is blessed with an award-winning Judaic and General Studies faculty, specialists and interventionists who are deeply dedicated to the individual child. They invest their hearts and souls to enable each child to reach his or her fullest potential.

A multi-dimensional institution and a national leader in Jewish education, the Academy is not just a school; it is a community. The ripple effects of the Academy are perhaps most prominent in its alumni who have pursued virtually all fields of accomplishments in communities across the globe.
