Mrs. Aliza Koval is the Hebrew Academy Resource Room Coordinator/ Program Director. A graduate of Hadar Bais Yaakov Seminary in Jerusalem and Thomas Edison State University, Mrs. Koval received her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Long Island University and has worked in the field of Special Education for over 15 years. She was the Director of Student Services for Sha’arim in Minneapolis, a city-wide organization that provides individualized support to students with identified learning needs, as well as the director of a program for young adults with special needs. Additionally, she helped create the Judaic Resource room at Arie Crown Hebrew Day School in Chicago and started a Sunday homework program. Her passion for helping children led her to direct a camp for special needs children in Montreal, Canada for 6 summers, as well as running programs for several other camps over the years.
